Privacy Policy

We have created this privacy policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to our member’s privacy and the protection of your information.

The use of Cookies

The BatterUp! uses cookies to enable members to navigate between pages within the platform and remain logged in as a member. Since much of the information displayed is according to membership, this is a necessary component of our website. Here is a link to more information on how to enable cookies on your computer if you are having difficulties with the site maintaining your login status: https://www.google.com/cookies.html

Sharing Information with Third Parties

The privacy of both our visitor's and member's information is very important to us, and, simply put, we do not share any personal information (other than what’s required for the game including name and steps) with any party outside one's own league (private group), including businesses, organizations, schools, sponsors or other third parties, unless a member has provided permission for us to do so.

Display and Use of Personal Information

Member personal information such as email address, age, and gender, (collected when a member registers) is used only to either identify members, allow for underage privacy, or provide for personal tracking, and is never disclosed to their league (group owner or members), other members, third parties, or sponsors.

Member tracking data such as group tasks and custom tasks (tracking items added by the group admin or member), (collected during daily tracking) are only used to provide for group or personal tracking, or provide rewards when available, and are only disclosed to their league (group) and other BatterUp! members, when made “public” by the member.

Member steps data is considered “public” information and is required by BatterUp! to manage the game.

We will not share or display any personal information of children 16 years or younger (self-selected) such as 1) last name, 2) personal image, or 3) comments in a group message board. Children 16 years or younger are limited to tracking steps only.

When registering with BatterUp!, members may use a pseudonym (fictitious or made up name), and also may use a fictitious email address (as long as no other member is using that same email address) to be completely anonymous to other members or to the group. If a member chooses to use a fictitious email address, some features of BatterUp! will not be available, i.e. league notifications, reset password, and “recruit players” as the member will not be able to check their fictitious email account. This information may also be changed at any time in the member’s Profile.

Disclosure Required by Law

BatterUp! may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (1) conform to the edict of the law or comply with legal process served on us or our affiliates, or (2) act under exigent circumstances to protect the safety of the public or members of this website.

Third Party Privacy Policies

BatterUp! is not responsible for the privacy practices of third party affiliated sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of these sites.

Security

BatterUp! implements and maintains reasonable security measures and practices to protect all personal information from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. These procedures apply to the collection and storage of personal data, as well as in instances where such data is provided to third-parties mentioned above.

Members who wish to discontinue their membership may delete their account at any time by selecting the My Profile link and clicking "Delete my Account" at the bottom of the page. All data associated with the account will be removed and cannot be retrieved.

If you have any further questions about our privacy policy or have suggestions on how it may be improved, please contact us.
